Prof. Hee Moon Kyung

Professor, Dept of Orthodontics, Dental School, Kyungpook
National University, Daegu, Korea.
Former President of WSLO.

On behalf of all the members of the World society of lingual orthodontics (WSLO) , I’d like t celebrate the foundation of the Tunisian Society of lingual orthodontics . I appreciate Dr Ahmed Amine Chaabane , the 1St president of the Tunisian Society of Lingual orthodontics  and all the members who made the Tunisian society of lingual orthodontics .

Also , I eagerly anticipate the 1st Tunisian Orthodontic Meeting which will be held on the 2nd Dec.2017

Recently , there has been  marked increase in th number of  adults desiring invisible orthodontic appliance . In order to improve the anesthetic nature  of labial appliances , Lingual appliances have been developed by Dr.Fujita & Dr Kurz etc since 1970’s .However the technical difficulties in the lingual multi-bracket  treatment  process had made the orthodontists not to put their interest in it   which  in turn led them  not to recommend it to their patients .However , many current systems reduced a lot of difficulties in lingual orthodontic treatment .

I think this I the first and the great chance to exchange knowledge  in contemporary lingual treatments among TSLO members .Also, this meeting will be a good opportunity to increase mutual cooperation and good relationships among lingual orthodontists around the world .

It is my great honor and pleasure to be invited as a guest speaker at the memorable event of this 1st Tunisian Lingual orthodontic meeting .
I will try to do my best for the great success of the 1st Tunisian lingual orthodontic meeting and pray for the future progress of Tunisian society  of lingual orthodontics

I hope all of you have a good experience and memory during the congress
Thank you !

First of all, I would like to extend congratulations on the establishment of the Tunisian Society of Lingual Orthodontics and the 1st Tunisian Lingual Orthodontic meeting.
I hope that the meeting will provide not only Tunisian dentists but all Tunisian citizens with an opportunity to recognize that lingual orthodontics is part of orthodontic treatment, rather than treatment for any special people. This meeting,
I hope, will be the first step towards a healthy growth of the Tunisian Lingual Orthodontic Society and it is my great honor and pleasure to be part of this great event.

Dear colleagues,
I’d like to personally welcome each of you to the 1st Tunisian Lingual Orthodontic Meeting. It’s an exciting time for me to be part of this important meeting as a lecturer. I am specialist, master in Orthodontics and Phg in Odontology. I was president of Brazilian Lingual Orthodontics Association (ABOL), for 4 years and I am currently its vice-president.

I have been doing lingual technique for over 18 years and nowadays I am a speaker of eBrace system.

It is known that lingual orthodontics new approach has been helping adults around the world to improve their self-confidence and therefore their self-esteem, so we professionals continue to grow, remaining always adaptable and motivated. In my lecture I will show how artificial intelligence can help the treatment with lingual appliance.
It is an exciting area in which we work with a new patient profile.
I’d like to invite each of you to participate in our conference.

Yours sincerely,
Dra. Rita Baratela Thurler

Since lingual orthodontics was first introduced by Fujita in the American Journal of Orthodontics in 1979 with the development of the bracket bonding resin, there were continuous development and advances in designs for new brackets, bonding methods, treatment mechanics and related systems.
Nowadays, lingual brackets achieve treatment results equivalent to that of labial orthodontic treatment.

It is a bit late, but the Tunisian Society of Lingual Orthodontics was founded and in this ongoing effort to develop lingual orthodontics in Tunisia, the 1st congress will be held on December 2nd, 2017. I confidently believe that this congress will provide participants with valuable information of lingual orthodontic treatment.

I wish the 1st Tunisian Society of Lingual Orthodontics Meeting tremendous success in everything.

Dear Colleagues,

I am delighted to learn that you are organising the 1st Tunisian Lingual Orthodontic meeting on 2nd December 2017 and I would like to accept Dr Chaabane’s kind invitation.

So much is happening in the field of lingual orthodontics, a technique which is gaining in recognition and popularity. With many different approaches and systems and the swift evolution of digital technology, we have much to discuss!
Both as an individual practitioner and as Secretary of the European Society for Lingual Orthodontics, I am honoured to be invited to celebrate lingual orthodontics in North Africa. I very much look forward to meeting and sharing ideas with all my fellow Orthodontists at such an auspicious event.

Yours Sincerely,

Welcome to the Tunisian Society of Lingual Orthodontics.
The Republic of Tunisia as it is known today has been a cradle of human civilization right from the ancient times, embracing and evolving in these modern times. From the Phoenicians to the Romans down to the prestigious hafside civilizations , to the French, Tunisians absorbed it all, being receptive to all the goodness that the world had to offer. Welcome to the land of Art Literature, Music and fabulous business opportunities.
The position lingual orthodontics has acquired    today must  be 1st attributed to  world leaders of the subject such as Dr Fujita, Dr Craven Kurz, Dr Toshiaki Hiro, Dr Hee-Moon Kyung, Dr Didier Fillion, Dr Dirk Weichmann, Dr Takemoto and Dr Scuzzo to name only a few. The TLOS’s    can see far as it proudly stands on the shoulders of these giants.
The next decade will undergo a rapid transition with the advent of CAD/CAM appliances to a more clinician and patient friendly appliances. In the meantime, the clinician’s role in Orthodontic treatment will never cease to exist as technology will never be able to replace experience of the clinician in handling the enormous permutation and combination of complex problems encircling the facial structures.
The Tunisian Lingual Orthodontic Society, – or TLOS – is a scientific society established in 2017 to exclusively promote the Science of Lingual Orthodontics and the wider professional purposes of its members, the promotion and improvement of the profession of Lingual Orthodontist and the representation of our country across the globe.
The TLOS, will be hosting successful scientific congresses with an endeavor the spread and progress of Orthodontics and Lingual Orthodontics by suggesting, participating, and organizing seminars, one-day conferences both in Tunisia and globally, for the whole orthodontic community.
On behalf all of the founding members,  I warmly welcome all our dear colleagues and friends to the first scientific convention and I would deeply appreciate, if you honor us with your active participation.

With Best Wishes,

Dr Skander ELLOUZE
